Well I wasn't, so this is an excellent decision

I was surprised it hadn't made an appearance in the previous thread.GertrudetheMerciless wrote:It does cover a little bit more (albeit briefly) about what Bill Ramsey could possibly bring to the project though, although even though they particularly mention his BBMF experience, it's his other jobs/projects that may help bring the concept forward!

Hardly "in-depth" is it?
And buried at the back of an American magazine, instead of a 15 minute slot on a UK podcast? How is that going to reach the target audience.
Still no evidence (or even mention!) of the state of the airframe.
Adds nothing that we don't already know. Or hasn't been covered in press releases ad infinitum.
Some great photography in that magazine though...

Please DanO, lets not turn this thread into a replica of the first one
DerekF wrote:I am surprised at those that think all pilots do is just fly aeroplanes. Actually flying probably takes up quite a small percentage of their time.
Experienced warbird pilots can bring a great deal of operational information to a project without ever getting near the controls.
Those who have raised the point about the remnants of an airframe should look at this and see how little is needed to justify a "restoration".

What is left of RL249 is largely irrelevant. Most of the airframe will have to rebuilt anyway and many components remanufactured. I'm not sure why it is felt so important to see these components.
Sadly it looks like this thread will be allowed to go the way of the last.

That's their choice. No skin off my, or UKAR's nose.
