The average person in the street expects their to be a lot of noise and Fast jets, most were commenting on the Vulcan and the Red Arrows last year.
This year you only really have the Typhoon that will provide the attention grabbing display.
It is also a shame the Sea King/RNLI demo is not there. I know it is a free show and you cannot complain, I do feel that there are a lot of cheaper time fillers in there this year.
The Catalina and Black Cats are a good call though, they are always impressive at Southend
