Airfix Spitfire Mk.I

Airfix Spitfire Mk.I

Postby Seamus on Wed 23 May 2012, 11:40 pm

Evening guys,

Some of you might have noticed I've gone quiet again recently. Unfortunately, I've had a damaging loss of modelling mojo lately, but last week I decided to have a tinker with the Airfix Spit Mk.1 and that seems to have rekindled my interest nicely. I've not done anything fancy with the cockpit, so didn't bother to take any pics, but in no time at all the construction was all but finished, so here's where she's at.

Just a bit of tidying up to do before I can lay down the paint; the plan is to finish her in the early scheme with the black and white undersides and two bladed prop.

It's good fun this modelling lark! :D

Cheers

Shaun :)

I thought this may have been down to you having to produce kits for mags mate.

Now it's funny that, but a couple of times when a particular model has been giving me grief, I've built an Airfix Spit to remind me about the 'fun' part of our hobby.

Great start to this one mate. Looking forward to seeing paint on it.
