Socceraid 2012

Postby andyxh558 on Fri 25 May 2012, 7:03 pm

I have just been invited to Socceraid 2012 and I was wondering are there any limitations on taking cameras into Old Trafford and which lens should i take. I have my 75 300 and my 100 400. I am 16 rows form the pitch so its not that bad.

your opinions would be appreciated as i have only been to one football match and that was when the mighty stockport county (they were in the 1st division then) beating Bournemouth 5-1.... oh times have changed!

Old Trafford's stadium regulations do not allow for 'telescopic or long lens cameras', so I would say your 100-400 is a definite no-go. You might get away with the 75-300 but at the same time you very well might not. They don't seem to outright ban (still) cameras, so your body and perhaps a kit lens would probably be a safer bet, whilst of course you never know how strict a steward might bug you on the night!

I thought it was quite a good game, much more entertaining than the England game on Saturday.

Just watched the Sheringham tackle :lmao: I wonder how many people would pay to have that opportunity and then to slap him in the face for good measure

I went and was sat in the North Stand. Great game, England deserved the win. Watching Ramsey being taken out a couple of times Ben Shephard? then Teddy Sheringham was worth the entrance fee alone

Whoever let the vuvuzela's and horns in the stadium needs to be shot  Thought the kids who were using them would have ran out of energy must have been demon children

One of the funniest bits for me was that girls reaction when she was introduced to Olly Murs before the match.
