Silent Flight
The flying dispay schedule for Duxford this weekend has been published. Could you do something similar? I'm not sure which of the 2 days I can go on and may have to make my decision depending on particular acts. Or will the programme be the same for both days?
Thanks

As far as I can see on flightline the only differences are the RAF Sea King (f) on saturday only, and the B52 flypast on sunday only.

Because the B-52 is Sunday only perhaps, and also the commitments and operations that the RAF SAR teams carry out on a day to day basis

The only difference between the 2 days will be the Sea King (Sat) and the B-52 (Sun) as DanH pointed out. At the moment we are still sorting out timings and I'm on change 15 of the first draft flying programme already so it would be pointless releasing the current plan - we still have to talk to about half of the crews to confirm the timings fit in with other events they are attending. If it's like last year the definitive programme will not be ready until the Friday before the show, and I had to change the Sunday programme on Saturday due to concerns about the timing for the Thunderbirds.

Great to see the Saudi hercs, AAC bell and RAF hunter added to the static line up, yet more fantastic work by Silentflight and the organisers! I can't wait to see what else gets added to the line up.

Does anybody know if the RAF will be displaying any typhoons in the static line up this year? I've noticed that there aren't any typhoons in the static line ups at any of the major shows this year, is this because the typhoons are too heavily committed with the Olympics, Falklands and QRA duties?

As Silentflight stated earlier in an earlier post, most RAF static assets are announced around a month before the event so you're likely to see a Typhoon or two added over the next few weeks for Waddington and Fairford. The same with the Tornado, Hawk etc;.

Cheers bjturner1981 and Macc I have been wondering that for a couple of days as to why Typhoons haven't appeared on the Static list. Also is there any likeliness of some LN Eagles and/or Strike Eagles for Static?

Dear SilentFlight and Team

Looking forwards to an awesome show this year!

Little question - Are the 4 L29s on the static at the show from the 'new' Red Star Rebels Team????

If so it is a pity that we can't see them fly at the show (again assuming they actually have a display routine ready)! If they are the RedStars L29s then any possibility of them 'sharing' a flying slot with the Blades so that we get to see them both over the weekend?? i.e. RedStar Rebels day 1, Blades day 2??

I know that it may not be possible and it may be another set of L29s so I apologize for any undue confusion.

Thanks

They are the Red Star Rebels and depending on the Vulcan etc, maybe a chance of seeing them display

Would the Belgian F-16 like to fill the Vulcan's slot if it can't make it? It's a crime to not see that display at every opportunity :yahoo:

I guess the 8 Sqdn Hunter is the Squadron's new Gate Guard? Are any of the other Squadron "Gate Guards" like 23s Phantom likely to be visable also is there still a Lightning around at Waddo?

I might be slow on the up take here but I've just notice that there are 2 belgian f16's confirmed! That's great, thought there was only one coming. Apologies if this is old news. Any news on what else the French are sending and the Qatari mirage 2000?
