Tenacious D at the Brixton Academy

I've never taken a camera to a gig before so this was always going to be a bit hit and miss. I used my trusty old point and click Lumix on the high sensitivity settings and went for it. The results are too grainy for sure but better than I thought i'd get under the circumstances.

Good gig? My brother and I were thinking of going (having missed out on tickets for their Brixton show in 2002), but decided against it due to unforeseen circumstances. Hopefully they will release it on DVD again like they did after the 2002 show.

Yeah gig was pretty good. More focused on the music this time around rather than the whole set switch stuff they did last time out (not that that was bad). Good participation with the audience and everyone seemed to go home happy (and very very very sweaty)

What did they play? Just the new album, or stuff from the previous two as well?

Prefer them when they've just got the two guitars, rather than the full band.

Played a fair bit of the new album.. actually in track order at the start and then played a few from Pick and the classics from the first along with Pinball wizard and a few little bits and pieces.

Most of the time it was with the full band but the encore was just the two of them

Playing again tonight, plenty of touts about flogging tickets last night. Reckon it'll be easy to pick up a pair.

Definitely just a tribute. The huge cock (sorry I mean Fenix) did spew forth a load of KG and JB sperms on paper at the end of the set just to further push the school boy feel
