That's from Qatar (well not technically, it's actually coming from Boeing at the time of the show).

parked up side by side at RIAT as this would be good photo to take, seeing as both types are celebrating their 50th Birthdays this year

Now that is worth celebrating

On the sunday, the red arrows will fly the full 9 formation for a flypast over silverstone for the f1. As far as i am aware they will be operating from Fairford.

Pretty sure the reds do a full display for silverstone on the sunday every year, can't see why it would be different this year.
Typhoon40 wrote:there was already a Mig pilot who had a full display already practiced, the Mig 29 was chosen and on the list of airshows, Fairford 2012 was one of them.
Not sure if it is a static item or a flying item

Typhoon40 wrote:RIAT 2012 is looking the best but there is one thing i must stress about, Waddington seems to be getting the USAF flying participants rather than RIAT. Waddington has announced the RC 135. Whats happening?
The Air Tattoo is in discussions with the USAF Air Combat Command 55th Wing and USAF Air Force Reserve Command 514th Air Mobility Wing with a view to sending aircraft to July's airshow. Talks are at an early stage.

It's easy leading a life leisure isn't it?
Problem not solved. Some people can't, due to having jobs Monday to Friday and having restrictions etc on holiday and leave and when they can/can't take it. Its not going to change the USAF/DoD decision, but certainly not as easy as "problem solved".
