I guess they are transiting on the 11th or 12th and practice on the 13th , Never know they may only be coming over here just for the public shows maybe the russians prefer Farnborough to RIAT

Nearly two weeks on and no official word. Starting to get a bit sceptical about this. :dunno:

As am i. Seems like a good source however it is looking increasingly unlikely unless Farnborough will announce it shortly?

It is of note that a major industry website in Russian claimed that the Su-35 was displaying at Farnborough in a news story published.... during Farnborough week itself!

It's a wait and see if it pans out

Russia are the second biggest exhibitor at the show this year according to the lads at FAG, so would expect more than one participant from them.

Do they not owe the Swiss banks allot of money still, hence that's why they never attend shows in the west as their a/c could get impounded,or was that a load of rubbish?

The dispute involving the Swiss company Noga has been dragging on for years. Attempts were made to impound aircraft.

Superb! It states it is the only chance to see them in the UK. Guess that rules out RIAT then?

Excellen news, :yahoo: the show really needed some stars like this. Ill offer a pint for anybody able to give a eta for these and what the support aircraft is! Looking forwards to a tail slide right over the town center as there was about 10 years ago!
Finally got my trade ticket today too. Remember I will be tweeting live from arrivals week @farnboroughspot . I will be there pretty much from 8am to 5pm from Mobday 2nd to Sunday 8th, and from the show on the following Tuesday and will tweet all show arrival and practices.

Il76 support, taking part in the show.

My guess would be the re engined demo bird that complies with European noise rules.

Thanks for that, seems a large aircraft for two Su-27's though. And I didn't believe it when a IL-76 appeared on a unofficial list long ago! Just need some JF-17's now.......

The Ukrainians sent an IL-76 to RIAT last year for just one SU-27.

Chances are will be il76 tanker, I would think.

You are in for a treat, lovely colour scheme and if should have plenty of cobras and tail slides, maybe flares if FIA allow it.

Great addition to the display!

When was the last time we saw a Flanker solo in the UK (bar the SU-30s in 2007)?
