Not a single RAF Tornado GR4 is on static as it stands, must be some time since that happened. Still time of course...

Looks fantastic to me - delighted at the prospect of plenty of USAF heavy metal in the static park. Had a mini-flashback to the USAF participation lists of 10 years ago. There could even be enough 135s now to warrant a line up as per the 90's - RIAT ops is there any chance this could be on the cards!? Would be terrific along with a Herc line-up.

All in all a great update. I'm amazed RIAT have managed to secure this level of participation in these cash-strapped times.

And a couple of weeks to go, plus the special aircraft........

then theres always the Russians. I wonder how much it would cost to divert them (all of them) to RIAT for the weekend before Farnborough?
As much as a long distance Sukhoi flight with IL76 from the Ukraine or cheaper?

I know it won't happen, but was clutching all my McDonalds straws hoping for a B1 to be in italics...ah well.

That would top it all off for me, without a shadow of a doubt.

Still a great line up though and DBH should be extremely proud of their efforts this year

You could find around 10 KC-135s lined up side by side at a RIAT in the 1990s, there are five going this year if you include the RC-135 and C-135FR.

I bet this special item is going to be either the KC-767 or JF-17s...

Hopefully with additions so close to the actual event, we won't see them being cancelled... although I do remember the Spanish F1 last year.

While not the barn burner everyone expected still a good update in my opinion without any cancellations. Sure there's the usual static fill, but you can't make lemonade without some lemons. It will be nice to see the German 'Spook' one last time and my fingers are crossed the Norwegian F-16 gaggle includes a few specials. Of particular note are the tumbleweeds currently rolling in the afterburning section of the RAF static and the quantity of USAF hardware on the ground. It really is a shame I have to fly accross the Atlantic to see a proper level of USAF particpation at an airshow. Aircraft total is just shy of 270 so the final update will probably add a dozen or two more. CAN'T WAIT!

ANTARES DROPS ANCHOR AT MILITARY AIRSHOW according to the show's website.

Just when you read the story it appears to be some kind of boat, instead of the Soyuz spacecraft that will return to earth the Sunday before the show, which is using Antares as callsign...

I'm quite sure this one was on the cards already from one of the first updates for this show.
