Evreux - A little gem *UPDATED*

Evreux - A little gem *UPDATED*

Postby boff180 on Sun 24 Jun 2012, 11:11 pm

Hi guys,

We decided to risk Evreux after the cancellation of the international acts and we were presently surprised.

Even with it bucketing it down all day today, the flying display was packed with French Air Force aircraft both common and rare. The static even more so with ECM Jammer C-160's, C-135FR's, Mirage F-1CR's and a Jag (to name a few) on display!

They had thought about the layout of the show and it was extremely relaxed. The rain made things difficult (almost impossible) to photography but I came away very very happy on going. Sometimes sticking with things is the best idea!

Here are a few for now, I'll add some more tomorrow.... have you ever seen a C-160 pull vapour?

Nice shots, totally agree with you a little gem, much better than Florennes or it would have been if the rain had held off. I suppose it depends upon what you want from an air show, if you want numbers than Florennes but if you want a bit more intimacy and some very interesting aeroplanes on our doorstep that we don't see as rule than Evreux.. I can go back to sorting my pictures now only 1800 to go through.

I love the head-on Rafale shot and the second of the deux-mille pair. And Transall vapor... epic! Looks like a good little event even with the drastic cutback from what it might've been, even in spite of the weather.

Despite the weather, you've produced a fine set of shots there. Nice to see some of the lesser seen French assets.

Wet or not, a very nice series. Mirage close up with the raindrops is wonderful.
