Can someone please tell me how much it costs to get into the viewing area and what time it opens this year? I remember it being quite early last year.
Many thanks.

Should be 8am, but I wasn't there to verify it.

I should have made the effort to be there earlier as the rest of the day has been almost a complete washout, heavy rain and thunderstorms from just before lunch.

I left about 2.45pm when atc said the metman was forecasting the storms to last another two hours.

Notable arrivals: Swiss F18s in, Austrian Saab 105's, Blades, Czech L129 and C27.

The Koreans practised first thing and were due for a second practice that did not happen.

The Poles aborted a practice due to the weather.

Saab 105, Tutor and King Air performed practice displays.

Apologies for anything I have forgotten.

Typical, now bright sunshine.

What's the field like? - it's the thought of parking on it that has put me off going. Think I shall have to go and sit in my sisters garden!

Fine. Like I said the grass is so thick and long that when it's flattened it's acting like a barrier from the mud.

Lovely couple of passes from the Phantom...one slow one and a fast one. :worship:

The Black Eagles look the real deal, as do the Frecce. Roll on the weekend!

On paper today should have been a full and exciting day, but in practice it did not seem to meet my expectations, I guess they were just too high.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Koreans, the do look very different to the European teams and hats off to the F4 pilot who managed to give a slow and fast pass prior to landing, something I thought had pretty much been stopped.

RAF statics seem very thin on the ground, one Typhoon and one Tornado plus a few Hawks.

Finally called it a day after my tolerance for light aircraft had been exceeded.

No sign of the KDC10, but Algerian C130, Belgian C130 and Saab Maritime in and Saab AEW scheduled for later this afternoon.

Others of note Czech Grippen, Belgian and Danish F16's and Norwegian Falcon, which looks pretty smart in matt black/grey.

Very blustery all day, but straight down the runway, so no problems that I am aware of.

We have had a number of cancellations today which included the DC10 due to serviceability. The second aircraft is needed for the Veterans Day event at the Hague tomorrow, but by way of apology they will pop across the North Sea to say hello with a Flypast. Although the wind may seem like it was straight down the runway it was slightly off causing a few issues. Sadly the weather elsewhere in thee country today has prevented a number of aircraft making the event including two of the Hunters, Pembroke and several other aircraft too. Sadly the Sea King has also cancelled due to serviceability issues with the spare aircraft naturally being on SAR standby!
