It's refreshing to hear someone talk so effortlessley about how aircraft make them feel, as opposed to just rattling off facts, figures and a scripted description of what's happening. I know his style won't be to everyone's taste, but I like it.

It would be a very dull world if every airshow sounded the same. M.Chabbert's style suits Legends perfectly. Glad to see the UKARians, who know a thing or two, can appreciate him.

I find him annoying there times we just want hear the sound of the engines especially when the BBMF are flying it would be nice to hear someone from TFC speak as well as its there show plus owners/pilots of the other aircraft taking place.

Does anyone know what the Harvard was that took off before the show and arrived near the end again on the Saturday?

Cheers
James

During the morning there are several interviews with pilots, owners, people involved with the aircraft, guest veterans, etc etc and all before M. Chabbert arrives. He only commentates during the display and I understand your feelings, many share them, but I don't find him annoying or intrusive.

I have to say I enjoy his ramblings too. Like many things, it is subjective.

IMHO, Legends wouldn't be Legends without him.

Some of his comments about aircraft, pilots and former aircrew I find quite funny. Especially about the term "SNAFU"!

I agree with that!

It seems that Sunday's show didn't have the gaps that there seems to have been on Saturday. While it was perhaps a bit less energetic than previous years, I for one, had lower expectations after reading the comments about Saturday so ended up feeling pleased with the day.

Same here, the comments for the Saturday were pretty scathing so I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised!

You really don't think any of us are going to put it in writing, do you and risk Moderator's ban, do you??!! Let's just say he amended the conventional meaning "Situation normal, all fouled up".

I'd have thought that 'all fouled up' was the unconventional meaning, or the polite meaning. You're surely not telling me that he used the impolite, or conventional meaning which when written usually contains one or more of these *? Or perhaps you are!

It depends which source you rely on to determine the conventional as opposed to the unconventional. I am quite sure that you can infer what was said from my comments.

The term was first mentioned circa 1941.

didn't they also coin the term "FUBAR" and we all know what that stands for ! also as this was the second weekend in July just gone and the normal
date for Legends would have it been rained off

I'm sure that I've heard the term 'FUBAR' used, but I didn't know what it meant until now. Thanks for that!
