Yeovilton Sea Harriers Feb 2005

Postby Screechy on Mon 16 Jul 2012, 2:51 pm

After seeing the static Sea Harrier at RIAT this year I thought i'd bung up some pics I took when I managed to get a base visit to Yeovilton in Feb 2005. Was a strange day weather wise, moving through rain, sun and snow as it went.

I remember seeing the blue 25 year special schemed jet displaying at Waddo in 2004. Last SHAR display I ever saw

Hated to see the SHAR's bagged up in the background, still better than what was to come though. Seeing these doesn't quite make up for missing RIAT and the SHAR there, but a lovely throwback to when we had proper fighters at sea.

Cheers, got very very lucky with that last one and it's certainly one of my favourite photos that i've taken
