Low and Fast 'Russian' in Headcorn grey skies

Low and Fast 'Russian' in Headcorn grey skies

Postby colper on Mon 02 Jul 2012, 4:33 pm

Took a trip to Headcorn late Sunday afternoon, hoping I might catch a few GA foreigners on their way home from Duxford. With the weather changing every ten minutes or so from bright sunshine one minute to grey skies the next,I was about to leave when the shrill whine sounded over the Headcorn grey skies.Out of the car camera ready, and in the distant gloom, a Yak 11 low and fast approached.Rob Davies returning from Duxford, made my day

According to the Headcorn website the Yak 11 is scheduled for Combined Ops in August

There were only a few other movements while I was there

It's a Phillips PJC ST2,see Ken's(Cimmerian)post Headcorn Virgin for a better picture. When I spoke to ATC at Headcorn yesterday, they seemed to think it was going to be at Farnborough.
