Hunter F.2 WN904 has moved from Waterbeach (which is closing) to the Sywell Aviation Museum, at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. She'll be cleaned up to get her looking better in time to be a static exhibit at the 19th August Sywell Airshow and then repainted in due course. As the only remaining complete Mk.2 and SAM's first complete airframe she is going to be well looked after! Here are some shots of the dismantling, move and reassembly, all carried out yesterday. Thanks to the Jon and his IWM guys and the wagon and crane drivers for the hospitality!

Bit of a difference then..... good to see this aircraft being preserved - I was wondering what might happen to her.

Re: Hunter F.2 WN904
And here we go, just in time for this weekend's Sywell Airshow - back together, pitot mount repaired and pitot back in place, nose radome and tail aerial painted, all panels buttoned up (mucho drilling and tapping), cleaned multiple times, polished and vinyl national markings applied by our friend Ollie at Sprint Graphics. We are very pleased with how she's scrubbed up. She'll be on display - minus the big fence you can see by the nose - on Sunday at the airshow. She'll then go back behind the fence until we get a smaller permanent fence put up.
