Dundee once again

Dundee once again

Postby alanp on Sat 11 Aug 2012, 11:56 am

On my way back from Aberdeen I did a quick stop at Dundee to catch the London City evening flight in lovely evening light. we were only there for ten minutes but as ever Dundee manages to provide unexpected treats.

1.
One of the locals returning. The airport's spectacular setting is obvious in this light. The river Tay and Balmerino beyond.

2.
Hawker Beechcraft 750 CS-DUC. Don't like the paintjob.

3.
Backtracking with the Tay Railway Bridge and Wormit behind.

5.
KDC-10 (T264, NAF 44) overhead supporting an F-16 (J-067 NAF 85) returning from the States. Unfortunately they had separated shortly before so I didn't get the formation shot that's on my list of things to shoot.

Thanks Chaps,
It's funny how three months of summer evenings turns into half a dozen occasions of usable light - and prior engagements on five of those! Next year I'll try and get the 20 00 flights when the light will be even further round, so expect another washed out summer.
