Norwegian F-16s Arrive at North Weald (Sunday Shots Added)

Post by LN Strike Eagle »

Terrific afternoon at North Weald today - three Spitfires, two Vampires, two F-16s and a C-130. Plenty more to edit, but they'll be posted next week most likely.

Really nice to meet Richard Grace this afternoon too. Thanks for the chat.

Feedback on these appreciated again if you don't mind - still adjusting to this new monitor.

Great set, love the shot of ML407 tucking up the gear. Bit disappointed not to see a shot of the 100 year special F-16 in all its glory though.

Very nice Dan. You must have been up the top end when the '130 left as well.

Thanks chaps.

@ Gary - I was indeed. I missed the Vampires (too busy chatting), and positioned myself for the F-16s as they came off the cross runway, so thought I'd try that spot later in the day, especially after Richard Grace told me he was planning a departure similar to his arrival.

@ Dean - Yeah, I should be. I'm assuming you will too? You doing Duxford tomorrow?

Here's a final selection from today:

The special livery is a stunner! Great photo's, love the almost 360 prop blur. What's the P-51?

As A40-BP says, it's "Jumpin' Jacques" from the Hangar 11 Collection. Blue Spitfire belongs to them too.

Some very good shots there.

I was planning on going on Sunday, but unfortunately the friend that I was going with was taken ill.
