Erm, Hyakuri might be my favourite base ever!!

Post by Kenny »

I've not taken that many photos of military aircraft in my life and have probably taken more military photos this year, than ever. I've never seen a Toom used for it's job. Today that changed. If you're ever in Japan. Go to Ibaraki Airport and view Nyakuri Airbase. Amazing access for amazing jets. Cor blimey!!

In future I'd try and take more military photos if I were you!

Excellent conditions and plenty of action. Good shots but isn't that Hyakuri?

Great set Kenny from Hyakuri, #11 just pips it for me.

Good to see the military using the 'civil' runway. Looks like they were using both runways, was that the case all day ?

Cheers

My mistake. I was tired after the 4 hour bus/train journey

@Chris: It was only these 4 Phantoms that used this runway and only ten minutes before I left. Security came round and took my photo and details as they'd never seen a foreigner there. I thought they landed there just for me

@Iain: Just great access and a very old, basic step ladder plonked next to the fence, which I took full use of
