FIFI & friends

Post by NordicAirpower »

Recently had the opportunity to visit the CAF Airsho 2012 during a business trip to the States, and as it was such an enjoyable experience I thought I would share the pics with you guys.

Star of the show naturally was FIFI, the world's only active B-29:

The crazy J79 powered School Bus (it really sounds like an F-4 Phantom):

Was repeated after dark - School Bus in full AB down the runway:

All in all a very nice Warbird airshow, which is highly recommendable if you are in the neighbourhood (Madison, Texas).

All the best

Nice set Jan, especially like the B-29 descending with Sentimental Journey in the foreground - did you get the programmed B-1?

Great shots! I've seen Fifi recently at Oshkosh but she didn't carry out a top side pass for some reason which was a disappointment. And I think that the CAF have been in trouble in the past for the mushroom cloud!

Can you provide the registration of the P-51D 'Boo-Man-Choo' please?

Fabulous selection, Fifi and Sentimental Journey both look stunning, as does that Helldiver  Great Hog shoots as well

The mushroom cloud explosion is perhaps a little unnecessary though :hide:

Thanks for that Jan. I saw her at the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in 2007 when she was called 'Luscious Lisa'.
