Dust and Haze in Dubai...

Post by TonyO »

Just a handful of shots from the Dubai Helishow last week held at the Meydan Racecourse, hence the slightly greener backdrops than you would normally expect from this location...
Some phenomenally rare machines on display, given the few events held in this part of the world, was very happy to snap them.

This Bell 412 is assigned to the Dubai Air Wing and is fitted out for the EMS role serving the Royal Family only!

This AW139 is one of seven used by the UAE Air Force for SAR. The aircraft are crewed by a mix of crews from Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) and the UAEAF, but on this occasion, it was flown by an ADA crew.

This UH-60L is one of 60 currently used by the UAE Army. The aircraft are assigned to the Presidential Guard unit based at Abu Dhabi. Viewed from eight stories up and from ground level!

Many thanks to the guys at Aerogulf for this shot, we tried to setup to get the aircraft in front of the Dubai skyline, unfortunately, it proved very hazy on the day...

The UH-60L shots are superb Tony. Couple of dust spots in that last one, hope you don't mind me saying.
