Last trip for 2012 ~ Brize Norton

Well got to be honest base bashing isn't normally my thing, but yesterday was a really good day out, had decided on a day out as billy no mates but it turned out to be a right old jolly day out with Andy F, Dave E and Pete F, think I used every lens in the arsenal, plus movements were great, what I really wanted was some VC-10's as the old girl won't be around much longer, so was very pleased when they came out to play, even with a fuel leak :unknown:

I'd imagine my final post before the world comes to an end on Friday so instead of Merry Xmas, see you all at the Gates queueing to get in

Great set, number 5 is fantastic.

Nice crisp lighting/shots in the low sunshine. Love the 'bluey' VC10 - number 8, and the 'golden' VC10 - 20 & 23.
The last couple are very fitting - sunset for the VC10...

Excellent. Hard to pick out a favourite from them, although shot 20 is very nice as are the sunset shots of the VC-10.

Some of the best shots I have seen from Brize in a while, looks like it was an action packed day.
Really need to make a trip and see the old Vicky before she bows out.

Fantastic set of images - real variety in subjects, lighting and image styles. The C-17 crossing the road is fantastic. I'll be passing Brize over the festive hols and based on these, will certainly be taking the camera and a packed lunch!
