1. It's never drawn much affection on any of the aviation sites, but on the odd occasion I'm showing anybody my prints, this is always the one photo that draws the most praise. It's also the photo that has recorded the highest 'pulse' on my 500px account - it seems to be a very popular photograph with everybody apart from aviation enthusiasts!
2. Having sat around Cottesmore all day in thick, freezing fog hoping for something - anything - to happen to get a last glimpse at the Harriers before they were retired, the last thing anybody was expecting was to be treated to a sunset like this. One of my all time favourite aircraft, and this is my favourite shot of one - just two days before they had their wings clipped for good.
3. The debut of the Meteor T7 at Duxford 2011 was very memorable. Most unusually, the clouds parted for the star of the show, and for seven minutes or so we were treated to a series of amazing passes. I don't often see my photos in print, but this one was published a number of times, most notably as a double-page spread in Classic Aircraft magazine.
4. I have a bit of a soft-spot for the Merlin, having been closely associated with the display team from 2006-2010, including designing their logo and running their online presence. I don't think I've ever taken a better photo of the machine than this one.
5. This one I like just because it is a rare view and a shot I'd been after for years, finally captured in 2010. I've not come close to repeating it since.
