Re: British F35B
First of the few! Really nice catch and nice shots. These are the first flying shots I have seen of one of "our" F35's. Just begging to be zapped with some 800 Sqn markings. The F16 shots are nice too.
Pessimists are never dissapointed.
Re: British F35B
not sure if i like the american style lo-vis RAF colour scheme though, but i do like the look of the F-35, give us proper RAF markings...

Great Dave a terrific experience I bet, the hair on the back of my neck would have stood up if I had been there.A real first thanks.
Re: British F35B
That's a great catch. Still not sure if I like the aircraft or not, it looks like a fat bird
Re: British F35B
I’m sure when she’s given some proper markings she’ll look a lot better

Re: British F35B
Nice set, what are the green markings on the "Dave"? I notice the Viper is wearing some as well.
Re: British F35B
Great catch, will look good in sqn markings in the Marham circuit
Re: British F35B
Great catch, thanks for sharing!

4th and 5th images are great. I do like the look of it from those angles. Hadn't noticed the large "dorsal bump" behind the cockpit before as can be seen in image 3.
Let's hope they don't paint it in the same grey as the Typhoon

Re: British F35B
thanks for the kind word Gentlemen.
I have been catching the USMC and the Airforce and even the Dutch 35! but always miss the British version! So! I thought everybody would be glad to see the British F35 Proper Sqdrn Markings would be nice!!!
Anyway! they seem to have that green markings on the starboard aft section... and yes! the spotter F16 has some of that also.have not a clue what is that for... as U can see in this earlier F-35A
Yes, it is louder and lower noise than the accompanying F-16D with the new PW engine. I wish I brought my Video camera that day.
CHeers everyone.....
1 more pix for everyone!
F035B RAF style!!! our Short little Ugly fellow...

Hi, excellent, thanks for posting
Re: British F35B
I wonder if it will be joining No17 (R) Squadron soon.
Re: British F35B
Very nice set of pictures. Good quality and framing.
But what an Ugly Thing this F-35 (JSF's gone now?) is.
I hope we never buy them, the price tags helps though.
Our government's reserved budget is down to 1,5 squadron of them now, let alone 2019 prices.

With you on that. Never thought I'd miss pale blue and pink but even that would be better than two-tone grey. And what in the name of all that's holy is that blaze on the side of the nose?

Fat Birds try harder!
Worth the money? Only time will tell. Not sure about the colour scheme though
Re: British F35B
Nice photos, but I do have to agree with others on here, Dave is one ugly mother!
Most advanced and capable aircraft we have... rather a bold statement, until it's combat proven, we know what it's serviceability down-time is, how many will be serviceable at any given time, upgrade costs etc. etc. I don't think anyone can be making those kind of statements just yet!
We don't even know if the yanks may yet pull the plug on the whole thing; $400 billion for the USA to purchase their 2500 aircraft and an estimated $1 trillion (which is likely to increase) for maintenance etc. for 30 years... America's budget forecast for 2014 was reduced yesterday by the Obama administration, unemployment is already up for April over March, where will they look next to make savings??
We may never see Dave this side of the pond!

The same could be said about any aircraft. Hardly exclusive to the F-35 or a fair statement to make is it?
