Cad West, 07/05/13. F15D head on *2 more added*

Post by petefletch »

Thought I would share my attempts from 2 hours on Cad West in the afternoon, first trip of the year for me. I only arrived in the car park at 13:30 after the 200mile drive, but well well worth it. Thanks for the company guys, you know who you are, as a nice way to spend a spare afternoon.

The flying today was awesome. Not your usual passes that are expected from Cad West, but expertly done. My ears are still ringing!

Fantastic shots, all of them.
1 and 4 are particularly good.
Great head-ons.

Is that an AN/ALQ-188 on the centreline of shot 1 and 4?
Don't think I've seen that before!

I haven't got a clue what is on the centreline of the F15D. Can see it in 1, 2 and 4 but haven't got a clue what it is. And tbh, I wouldn't know a AN/ALQ-188 was if it hit me in the face? :lmao:

I'm glad you liked them

Cheers

Yes it is, it's also known as a "Gecko" pod because of it's shape, it is an electronic attack training system for air combat.
