Cheers guys!

Started painting today, using Xtracolour X136 diluted with Cellulose thinner. What a good idea that was, bone dry now, 7 hours after she was painted, usually it would take 24 to get to this stage! Also, let it dry outside when it's not raining, speed it up further. And the thinner is excellent at cleaning it after!

Next up will be to mask her up ready for the sand, then the brown, then the green and then the grey radome and various antennae. Shouldn't be too long, in theory.

I've also decided to make up some FOD guards for the intake and engine nozzles as they look pretty bad to be truthful, and I've got RBF tas to use anyway so I thought I had best use them.

Will get an update in as soon as there is something to show.

Kind Regards,

Tom

looks great Tom. I can't wait to see the paint going on after seeing the work on your Heinkel. Well done so far.

Cheers guys!

Small update, with the Tamiya Buff ( Sand ) and Dark Earth applied. The canopy is only slotted on as I'm painting that separately.

Beginning to look more like a Nellis Falcon than a Sufa!

Tomorrow should see the Green ( or Sky ) going on ( If I get time before I go clay-pigeon shooting with some lads from work! ), then after it's a case of applying the metal paints, the grey on the nose and antennae and she can then be decalled.

Kind Regards,

Tom

That is coming along nicely. The Israeli scheme always looks smart.

Maybe it's the nature of the bigger scales that lots of the builds are going to the wire. Or maybe modellers are relishing the challenge.
