La Ferte Alais 2013

A "mere" four hours drive from Calais one arrives at a very friendly airshow reminiscent of a Shuttleworth display. The day started of with fog which burnt off by lunchtime, but cloud and rain made the afternoon display a challenge for photography. The Ju-52 survived intact from its somewhat premature landing.

Good stuff, that first shot is a surprise, didn't know that had happened but I was down at the other end, good catch. Shame about the weather but it was still a decent show.

Thank you for the comments. The weather was very limiting during the afternoon but the aircraft were a welcome change from sunny Headcorn. The Fighter Collection also displayed their Curtiss Hawk (H-75C-1) in French markings.
I will endeavour to post some of the more esoteric aircraft this evening.
