The Red Arrows will conclude the flying display in classic British style. Look out for a very special final flypast which brings together the best of British and US aircraft.

I've not driven to Duxford for quite a few years, what's the best position to arrive to park behind the Land Wardfare Hall? Last time I ended up parked over the road.

I've always got to Duxford for around 10:00/ 10:30am, and parking at the Land Warfare Hall end hasn't been a problem.
We've had friends turn up later than that, around 11:30am, and not get in as it tends to fill up fast, and have had to park over the road.

Bear in mind it's a Bank Holiday weekend, so it might be a bit busier than usual.

Good Luck, and have a nice time

Paul

Tours will take place at 10:30 and 12:00 on Sunday the 26th May. There will be a book signing following each tour to showcase his new book, 'SR-71: The Complete Illustrated History of the Blackbird, The World's Highest, Fastest Plane'.

Keep your eyes on UKAR too, as we'll have copies of this book up for grabs in the coming weeks.

Just to follow up on this, details of Colonel Richard H. Graham's new book can be found here, where you can also enter our competition to win one of three copies.

Sounds good!

According to flightline, the Tucano has become static only and the TRIG team have been added to the flying; this will be approximately the squillionth time I have seen their display...

I wonder why the Tucano has been moved to Static only? :dunno:

From Facebook:

Unfortunately the AOC couldn't come to Linton this week. So no PDA means we cannot display at Duxford. We are still coming but will be on the ground. Looking forward to the weekend nevertheless.

Why on earth is the PDA so late? They used to be done in mid April with plenty of time before the start of the season. God forbid but what if he fails the PDA and has to work up an amendment to the routine? Just seems barmy to me....

Perhaps the grounding of the fleet in Jan/Feb time put them on the back foot or something? :dunno:

Both the Tucano and Tutor had their work-ups significantly delayed due to fleet groundings throughout January and February, hence the delay to PDAs.
