KA-27 at Liverpool

Post by voodoo »

This KA-27 is on-board the Vice Admiral Kulakov--which is open to the public this weekend, commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic.

Great photo...Only saw it from land myself.

They are all open tomorrow again....Be prepared for a wait if you want to get on though! Queue was consistently over 2 hours long today.....

Hello Voodoo,

Nice pic. From the angle taken I take it you must have got on board the Kulakov on Saturday. I went on Sunday but was unable to get on. I am interested in finding out the con number for this Helix. From your image it appears there is a 5 digit number on the "blue box" about mid-way down the fuselage but I cant quite make it out. Did you happen to make a note of this number ? Or, if not, can you zoom in on your original image to try and read it ?

Many thanks for your assistance.

Rgds.

Hi,Supercouse,
The number you are interested in is 79601. Even though there were massive crowds around the pier -head on Saturday, the waiting time for touring the Kulakov was only around 30 mins.
