Red Arrows In Qatar

Post by turbohampster »

Was lucky enough to catch the Red Arrows in Doha Qatar Today.
I took a bit of a gamble and purposely positioned myself behind show centre to get the skyline in. As have millions of pics of the Reds and wanted to get something "different"
Think it was a good decision but I'll let you decide

Would love to have seen the display from the top of one of those skyscrapers.

Yeah so would have I!

I've seen the Reds lots of times, but I think this has be my favourite display so far! Doing the display in the bay against all the skyscrapers really let you see the speed! It was awesome!

The Tiffy display was pretty spectacular as well!

Great set of pictures. Number 2 has a fantastic background and 5/7 work well. Being different is eye catching.

Are the 2 new Reds flying or is it the same 9 pilots from this season?

This seasons 9, though the 2 new Reds have come along too - believe they're going to do some winter training out there between shows.

Bloody hell the Qataris have done well to design that building in shot 1 on such a steep angle! Superb shots nonetheless!

#5 would be better level too, but they are great photos though. Not something you see often :)

Brilliant photos - they'd be very good normally, but that skyline just adds another stunning, dimension to them...!!

Amazing how the Arrows have to have their air brakes open so the Typhoon can keep up!!!

Great set, wonderful backdrop - those skyscrapers look so close!!

Thanks everyone!

Yes they were pretty close to the Skyline anyway, but using the long lens makes them look even closer!
