Lovely selection of machines there- if only Farnboro's static could look like that..
It's an AT802 Air Tractor- a COIN optimised version of the big agricultural type- UAE is the first mil customer IIRC (AgCats a biplane)

Nice to see Hi-vis marks on the osprey. That looks like a great show!
Re: Dubai Airshow 2013 United Arab Emirates
this show may have just been added to my to do list....
want one of those air tractors, anyone else think that's the kind of aircraft they could have done with in Afghanistan?

Really interesting photos, nice to look through a couple of times. The JF-17 looks very similar to an F5 Tiger when looking from the underside

Great set, Peter. The block 60 F-16 looks really bad ass! Nice to see the Poseidon out and about too, slap a couple of Navy markings on a 737 and suddenly it's a lot more interesting

some great shots there however some of them are much to tightly cropped for my liking this is just my opinion and honestly i think that because they are so tightly cropped it just takes somthing away fromt he picture but the acctual pictures are amazing great set

Re: Dubai Airshow 2013 United Arab Emirates
Are the US Military "doing" airshows again now ?
Re: Dubai Airshow 2013 United Arab Emirates
Great shots, looks a fantastic show
Isn't it a trade show, hence the US presence? I wouldn't take this as a sign of this to come for next year though, Farnborough might get some participation I suspect but that will be about it. Would be nice if the situation changes.

Oops - edited for stupidity!
Are you aware that the Reds will be displaying at the seafront on Thursday? That should produce some good shots round the skyscrapers.

That's Al Fursan from the UAE, not the Frecce Tricolori, though I can see why people could be confused

I understand if it's a trade show display, and Boeing are displaying a SuperHornet for exports for example, but why display the F22 ?, didn't think they're allowed to sell any of those, hence a USAF display of power/ force projection etc. I'm not knocking it, hopefully we'll have a US Military and/or US Manufacturers presence at Farnbrough in 2014.
Re: Dubai Airshow 2013 United Arab Emirates
Two wonderful sets in one! Excellent work. #28 in the flying shots is terrific - really gets across the monster size of the 380.

Re: Dubai Airshow 2013 United Arab Emirates
The US military aircraft are there because the USDoD support trade shows not the Air Force/Navy, exactly the same for Paris and Farnborough, hence getting B-52 and B1 displays at the latter in past years.
