'FAGIN 31' Tanking Flight [FINAL UPDATE]

Post by PeterR »

Last week I was extremely lucky and flew with 216 Squadron on a tanker sortie. Here's my favourite image from the trip.

Excellent images Preoch, you lucky sausage. Typhoon's are great, but the venting Tristar and patch shot stand out for me.

Brilliant photos mate. That first one is top!

Is the Tristar venting fuel in the photo of the RR engine?

Cracking light on these Reoch. Got some nice keepers and some better memories. How on earth did you manage to get this opportunity?

Nice shots Peter. I was also on the same flight. You tend to lose all concept of the fog/visibility on the ground taking pictures in the sunshine. Thanks for sharing these. ell done.

Thanks chaps! Our aircraft was indeed dumping fuel, we needed to loose weight before returning back to Brize Norton earlier than expected unfortunately. Like I previously said I was a very lucky boy and I picked my friends well when starting at university!

Few final images for you all to enjoy before I jet off again tomorrow, on something a lot less interesting this time sadly.

As Mr Dopson mentioned in your Dubai thread, something's awry with your post processing - The above appear to have been over-sharpened quite considerably.

An excellent opportunity, all things considered.
