Forgotten Airshow - Pardubice 2013 by sfw. Update!

Post by sfw »

Just because the year 2013 was very busy for me, I forgot to post a report from the very important airshow. Why was it important? Because 60% of the planned participants did not appear, what pissed me off so much. Because almost all of the Czech Republic was under water due to flooding which covered almost the entire country, the area of Pardubice miraculously remained above the water level, despite the fact that the whole time we were washed by the heavy rainfall. And finally, because that in spite of unfavorable weather conditions, I managed to make interesting pictures. So, ladies and gentlemen - Pardubice Airshow 2013 - better late than never :) :)

How, just how, do you get such good crisp atmospheric pictures in those conditions?? Number 15 for me is amazing.

Just what I was going to write - super-atmospheric and beautifully processed. I like every single one but the Mustang pics are all just stunning!

Eastern european boyzzzz ... to be correct, Poland, where I came from, is exactly in geographical center of Europe :)

I know it is strange but host nation decided to put even more water to the public with this firefighter helicopter!

It's time for small update ...

I love your panning! And who's ever heard of a MiG-15 producing that kind of vapor?

Lets say I'm kind of familiar with MiG-15 and 17 since 1989 and this phenomenon was really surprised to me :)

And there you have it Ladies & Gentlemen! NO magic cameras, NO extra-terrestrial photographic talent. Merely a sublime & humble ability to take shots on a piss-poor day & make them into the superb images they are!
PS:- You might want to revisit the 'horizons' on shots 17 & 25?? Brilliant..all of them.

Health & Safety Advisory.....These shots are Category 'B' risk. Looking at 'SFW' images from a 'Cat. A' fair-weather day will induce suicidal reactions & camera rejection!

I fully agree with you Agg. Sometimes slightly tilted frame gives dynamics to the pictures.
