Gents,
Made the local Mildenhall run today, it started rather slow but got better, espically late afternoon.
For some reason, 'Jigsaw' section of two RAF C-130J's landed on 29, taxied back on the Northside, and went straight off again without shutting down or stopping.
'Quid 67' landing with a IFE and a missing basket from his left hand MPRS pod. Some fast jet driver has gained an extra attachment!
Finally, 'Knife 75 and 76' departing in some superb light. Just what I was after.

Osprey shots are excellent. Whereabouts were they taken?

Thanks gents. Hi Dan. The first KC-135 landing shot on 29 is taken from a stepladder at Folly Road. The KC-135 climbout shot at the 11 end, but across the field South of the base, beside the bungalows. The IFE KC-135, RAF C-130's and all the CV-22s were from the crash gate at the end of Pollards Lane, again using a stepladder. The 'pad' that the CV-22s use for departure is directly opposite here, not sure if it's on the taxiway itself or on the old Operational Readiness Platform just off the taxiway but regardless of which it's pretty much perfectly placed for photography. A couple more from here over Christmas during a quick airtest.

I do love those Ospreys. And Gary ,the best set of shots to date from Mildenhall of them.
Don't bother running, you'll only die tired!!
