Friday Gnats at North Weald

Post by TJJ »

A good day for a couple of the North Weald Gnats to go flying. The sun and clouds were both in the right place for once to give some dramatic light.

G-MOUR did a flight test. The wind was a bit gusty.

Later on, G-RORI did a coupe of flights and tested the smoke system

Really gorgeous shots mate. Those little jets made such an impression on me when I was younger.
There is no escaping those first impressions of the Reds, seen at Usworth near sunderland back in 1966.. :yahoo:

Brilliant shots, lovely little jets, nice to see them in the air - I just about remember seeing them when I was a nipper.

They're both owned by Classic Air Force AFAIK, but I think they're maintained by Weald Aviation?

Venom is indeed one of the Classic Air Force examples, with Weald Aviation for Maintenance!
