Now with The Blades added, a cracking line up, and currently beats Rhyl hollow, even if Rhyl has the tin triangle attending.

Great to see the show's official site (http://www.llandudno-air-show.org.uk/2014-displays/) now also including the following items in the lineup:-

Canberra PR9 - Midair Squadron
Griffin HT1 - Royal Air Force
P-51D Mustang - Hangar 11

I think "Flapjack" retired from flying airshow displays at the end of the 2013 season. I don't know what has become of Miss D, who is flying it or even whether it is on the circuit this season.

Excellent attendance for this show. Should make for some great shots if taken from the Orme.

a real shame; I was really looking forward to seeing her on my doorstep,

but echoing the thoughts of most of us, it should be a chance for some great photos, The lanc is going to look great in the bay.

Superb lineup, especially considering it's only in it's second year and also free. As far as I remember the great orme is closed off to the public during the show as is the pier, still great to now have two decent shows in North Wales.

Well everyone I know says the Orme and the Pier will both be open. Mind you I have a feeling that the council might charge people for a different view, but depending on how sunny it'll be  I'll be probably based somewhere different.

Well last Saturday was the "Victorian Extravaganza" in Llandudno and part of it featured the BBMF MK XIX Spitfire, it was a good display as I stood on the orme (only guy there) but the display line ran from the pier to the little orme. So although I got some nice shots you'll need either 500 or 600mm or a lens converter for the nicely detailed photos of the single engined stuff, as for the Lancaster and Canberra though.........

Here's the final line up from the show's Facebook page

Griffin helicopter (I'm assuming this to replace the Sea King in the Role Demo?)
Canberra jet
Vampire jet
Tucano
Blades display team
Mustang
Lancaster
Spitfire
Hurricane
RAF Falcons parachute team

The only problem is there's no kick off time for the display and there was no indication of what order they're flying in (however the above order would be good) Now bring on the Canberra!!

It's a good line up for a 'local' event! :snack: :icecream:

Apart from the arrival/ departure of the Griffin, there isn't much difference, only the Falcons, and more than likely everyone will have begun their trip home by then!

I've spent more time in Llandudno than I'd care to admit, and you're sure that Llandudno will be heaving as always on a Bank Holiday weekend so I'll be in and out of Llandudno quickly as 'spoons (as usual on bank holidays) will be full of tourist chav's along with the 'Kings Arms' and the 'Kings Head' full of OAP's, the 'Cottage Loaf' will be chokka with the local "self important" people.

Definitely weather dependent for me, not to mention work issues  Might be a dash for the Canberra late in the afternoon. Will the pier and Orme road be open?
