Shuttleworth Collection Military Pageant 29/6 (updated)
A mixed day really. Wildly varying conditions, a decent mix of aircraft......and thankfully, one healthy pilot. Unfortunately the same can't be said of the Sopwith Triplane
It was well worth hanging around in the rain right to the end, as the be2's both flew eventually!

And the unhappy moment
I was pretty certain that a crash was imminent, due to the sink-rate, amount of sideslip, and what sounded like a rough engine. I could be wrong, but I reckon he was in trouble right from the start of the turn. I didn't want to photograph what I feared was coming. It's only a couple of years since tragedy struck, and you never know what's gonna happen. I chose to start shooting once I saw the pilot moving.

Cracking set Barrie.....good to hear the Pilot of the Triplane walked away from that
Re: Shuttleworth Collection Military Pageant 29/6
Good set of shots under the circumstances, although that last one in the sun especially good.

Love the portrait image of the Sea Hurricane. Rain covers over it when I had a look, and no danger of any blue sky!

The Hurricane Spitfire pair would be my pick.

Wary of the crappy weather this year, I grabbed the blue-sky shots as soon as I saw them!

It was a lovely sight, and something that really sums up a really special venue
I've messed around with a few more. I even managed to salvage a couple from the Hunter display. I had the camera wrapped up inside a jumper whilst it was pouring. Most of the shots are ruined by a haze of water!
Not my finest moment!

Excellent set, The opening picture of the Tomtit is great, lovely to see it back in the air.

It's always a pleasure to see her in such close proximity. Old Warden's the perfect venue for her.

I'm glad I grabbed the few shots of her when I did, seeing as the afternoon was such a mess of scrubbed displays!
