Air to Air with the Vulcan

Post by SuperGuppy »

Earlier this week I had the great privilege of joining http://www.aviation-photocrew.com on an air-to-air photo session with the Vulcan as it flew from Farnborough to Yeovilton.

First one is the best angle for me, but they all seem very soft and compressed...? Photobucket?

Yes , the originals are a lot sharper. I reduced the size to 1200 and put them through Photobucket as per the instructions on posting.

These are 1024px. You need to leave the '~original' on the file extension (and configure your Photobucket account to accept images bigger than 1024px if you haven't already done so).

This thread should help: http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=58013

Great set, the aircraft certainly looks mightily impressive from the air!

Soft or not they are amazing photographs, I really like the 5th one the most. How did you get to do that or do you work there?

I was able to do this thanks to the Aviation Photo Crew.

The first step to joining them on one of their photo missions is to attend the Air to Air Academy - see www.aviation-photocrew.com/index.php?page=academy for more details.
