St Agnes RNLI Lifeboat Day

Post by PeteM »

Here are a few photos from the RNLI Lifeboat day at St Agnes. I wasn't sure whether to post them in the Airshow or Modern Military section so I hope I've picked the correct one.

Cracking shots Pete.
I went East to start, then swopped to the West but when I found out it went back to a 2pm for the helicopter I went back to the East.
It looks like the sun was more that around enough

Shame you can't do this week. Land's End, St.Ives, Padstow, Coverack and Porthleven all have Lifeboat days this week. Only The Lizard next week, i think.

Cheers Rich. I took the advice of a regular and went to the West Cliffs although I did wonder about the light. The move back to 2pm nearly caught me out, I was with someone with a dodgy hip and we only just made it

Damn, that makes me even more annoyed- after The Lizard is there any more in any part of the month.

Hope all goes well. May i suggest Polruan as the best view of the Red Arrows at Fowey.

These are very nice, to see a different perspective of a much loved aircraft!

PeteM- Superb images which show off the rugged cliffs and the helicopter at it's best. I think you chose the correct forum to post these in as you can hardly call a 30+ year old helicopter "Modern military" can you?!

Once again thanks for taking the time to comment.

I'm guessing so Pete. I understand the MOD justify these demonstrations by calling them training exercises.

By the way Malf was there, you can see him standing at the bottom of the steps in one of RichPittmans excellent photos:
