Hi, sunny on the road down from Ardrossan (only 20 mins. away) but hit a bank of cloud over Prestwick. Maybe just as well as we know that sometimes white can give off quite a glare.
KAF 342 on short finals for runway 30.
Blue Skies visible just to the north of the field - far end of the runway was in sunshine.
A recent visit from an Alaskan C17
...and the '"Spirit of The Golden Bear" Travis escort for the RB57 that went through last week.
Thanks for Looking

Nice to see C-17s wearing something other than grey, but don't think this scheme suits the airframe as well as the Qatar livery. This seems to accentuate the dumpy proportions IMO.

Lovely shots Michael I'm not just saying this to disagree with LN but in my opinion I think that scheme really suits the C-17 and is much more attractive than they dull grey that the majority are painted in! It's not that far removed from the old MAC white/grey scheme and personally I think the USAF fleet would have looked far better in that scheme than what we see them in.
