EPMI-Miroslawiec - Su-22 Fitters Paradise HEAVY

Post by Draken »

Hi All,
few weeks ago i managed to make one of my dreams come true. Together with Bartek we went to Miroslawiec Airbase to see, touch and hear the mighty Fitters daily routine. We also stayed a little longer in the evening to see the night flights. It was fantastic day, with great weather, great people and great movements, including very dynamic training session of our Demo Pair, which visited Fairford lately. I have a huge pack of pictures, just wanted to share some of them here. Hope you will find something interesting ;)

Great series Tom with picture no.35 being my absolute favorite ...

I was there in 2012 (off base) and understand a little how you must have felt ... :dizzy:

Were these Fitters on TDY as I thought the SU22's had ceased operations at Miroslawiec and were all now based at Swidwin?

Paul

You are right Paul, but there is (or was) some runway maintenance in progress at Swidwin airbase (I think) so they were moved to Miro for few weeks.

Absolutely stunning, lovely pictures. That Tiger one looks the dog's proverbials, any other shots of it?

I really must take myself off to Poland some day...

Superb - I love the panning shots especially with the blurred backgrounds. Magnificent work!

The last few years (... 2011, 2012, 2013? and 2014) in July & August Swidwin Fitters operated from Miroslawiec. So it seems like an annual event ...
