2 Days in Wales "Army Lynx"

Post by RichPittman »

Hi all,
A few photos from this Monday and Tuesday this Week.

My main aim was too try and catch the Army Lynx in Snowdonia as theres not a huge amount of time left till there history
Monday I spent in the Loop so these GR4s were a "welcome bonus" aswell as a 1st sighting of a new marked Navy Hawk

Tuesday I spent in Snowdonia hoping to get some Lynx.
Sadly it clouded over by time they turned up.
A mixture of the 6D with 70-300 and 7d mk2 and 400.
Im steadily getting better results with the 7Dmk2

Hi Stu,

Higher shutter speed, reduce the frame rate in the camera from 10 till 6 frames a second. Aswell as the micro adjustment that was done before.
Thanks for the comments guys

Superb selection. 3rd from last for me also... How much micro adjustment did you end up doing.

Some really excellent stuff here, Rich! Third from last is wonderful. I do love the effect of snow reflection lighting the bottom of an aircraft!

Lovely set but how do you find out about when and where they're going to be all the time?

Interesting reply Tommy, read it on my phone whilst at work.

I work in retail and work Saturday and Sunday through choice, so I can have quite Week Days off to enjoy my hobby.
With the Air Arms predominantly training in the Week  this allows me good chance to catch something.
I do do one hell of a lot of Internet research , keeping tabs on past exercises and look through airliners.net etc. to see if any specific Dates/Days provide opportunities each Year.

Regards Rich
