Thanks , some german Transall are equipped with the ESS (Electronic Selfprotection Systems) and the pods are flare and chaff dispenser s.
Also the 50+66 and 50+72 are C-160D ESS Transall s you can identify the ESS version by the Laser/Missle indicator
