Evening all,
Appreciate it's rather late, but thought I'd share a review of a busy 2014 for me, packed full of highlights.
My season began with a visit to Abingdon. An enjoyable show in fine weather that offered the first of many chances throughout the year to see the beautiful Canberra back in the air.

Rounding May off was the D-Day show at Duxford, where the quartet of C-47s especially provided a fitting tribute to the events 70 years prior.

Cosford was my next show. Another decent, varied show, although a little too similar to previous years, and frustrating from a photography point of view. That said, thought the Vulcan and Midair pair were terrific.

Cosford was sandwiched between two trips to Fairford to catch the USAF bomber detachment. Disappointingly, neither day I visited yielded any B-52 movements, but the U-2s and B-2 were great to see.

The following weekend, I made the short journey up the road for a couple of days at the Weston Air Festival. More good weather and a surprisingly good lineup made for an enjoyable show.

A few days later, I made the even shorter journey to Merryfield for the annual open evening. Third time lucky with the sunset shots!

Into July, and things really started to get tasty, kicking off with two days at Waddington. Never thought I'd get to see a Draken fly again, what a beast it is, as is the Viggen of course. Thoroughly enjoyable couple of days.

Waddo was swiftly followed by RIAT of course. This year, I took in every day except for the Friday, including my first experience of Rhymes Farm on the Sunday. One day in, one day out is the way forward Too many highlights from the show, but the number of images of the Fitters that will follow might indicate I rather enjoyed them!

After reluctantly giving Farnborough, and the in particular the Spanish Harrier, a miss, my local show at Yeovilton was next, taking in four days from arrivals through the last epic departure of the German P-3.

Rounding off July was an excellent show at Culdrose, one of the finest venues in the UK on the rare occasions when the sun shines. Undoubted highlight for me was the chance to see living, breathing Sea Harriers again. Only negative of the show was the unfortunate incident involving the Sea Fury...

After a well earned break, a busy August bank holiday saw me take in Dawlish and Bruntingthorpe and gave me my first sight of the two Lancs- cue goosebumps! Both events were up to their usual high standards.

The following week, it was off to Shoreham for the first time. Probably the most fun show I've ever been too, great variety, relaxed atmosphere and a picturesque setting.

Two weeks later, it was back to Duxford for the September show. Perhaps not a classic, and tricky conditions for photography, but a good days flying nonetheless. I was particularly pleased to have had a proper chance to shoot TFCs Hellcat before she left.

Thanks for looking, I appreciate there are an awful lot of images, but it was a busy year, and a very good one at that. 2015 has a lot to live up to.
Comments welcomed,

Great work ... looks as though we were stood in the same spot at Weston, RIAT and Dawlish!
