Scone night-shoot 10 Mar

Post by wallace »

Hardly in the same league as Northolt but I was fortunate enough to be treated to a rather special night-shoot at Perth Airport in the company of a friend a trainee pilot, which as you will see made all the difference.
There are a lot of images, so I have kept the size relatively small, they are available at a much larger size on the Flickr site.

An opportunistic scene, having never envisioned this one before.

A Culter based R22 was doing an intensive period of night flying... it is at time like this that one realises just how lucky one has to get access so close and just how inherently dangerous night photography can be.

Normally I would have rejected this as being too messy and then I saw what was under the aircraft.

Totally opportunistic set of two photos as the PA-38 taxies out at the start of the night-flying. I rather like the abstract nature of these shots.
