17-18TH MAR: Feeling Rusty

Post by Lloyd H »

First day out in the hills for me this year and since May last year, fell out of sorts with it for a while I think trying to chase other things. It was good to be back however and some nice variety in movements over the two days, albeit rather slow at some points.
Good to catch up with everyone again as well. 17th was spent on Cad West and opting for the Bwlch top on the 18th.

Excellent, as per. :worship: :worship:

What's with the Apaches recently? There's been pairs knocking around the Loop, Betws-y-Coed and the A5 Pass almost every day this week? Not that I'm complaining!

Is that an American flag (the wrong way round) patch on the shoulder of the back-seater in No.3? :ninja:

I'm not entirely sure, perhaps on navex training or something?

It is indeed.

Even closer than that, they've been knocking about Shawbury for a few weeks now too.

Tommy - the Americans wear their flag on the right shoulder the wrong way round to make it look like it's waving in the wind, i.e. they're always advancing and never retreating.

Bit silly in my mind but that's what they do.
