Re: Cold & Wet Jets
Good photos, it was a great day, despite the rain in the afternoon.
Re: Cold & Wet Jets
Some nice shots there Harry, in what looks some 'interesting' conditions... Good ol' British summertime.

Some great shots there of another cracking day at Brunty. These events are fast becoming one of my highlights of my aviation year. The weather conditions made for some great sprays off the aircraft.I got some similar shots to those but nowhere near that quality. It's no good,I have to get a decent DSLR camera !
Re: Cold & Wet Jets
Great set. Buccaneer looks superb. Haven't been to Bruntingthorpe for a number of years. What's the story behind the other Lightning. Is it static only?

They now have three airframes. One did the run yesterday, the other one in the shed is currently unserviceable. The one outside is the former Leuchars gate guardian, which will probably never fly but he did say you never say never. I was told this by one of the LPG guys.
Re: Cold & Wet Jets
Sometimes the weather can give you something different - and you've made the most of it! I particularly like the Lightning burner shot and the last one

Re: Cold & Wet Jets
Thanks all, sometimes it is worth getting the camera soaked and indeed I think yesterday was one of them. Shame the other Bucc went U/S but that's part and parcel of it, hope it's nothing too major.
I'm already looking forward to the Lightning Twilight run!
Here's a few more for what it's worth:

Fantastic set mate, the rain was horrible but certainly gave some great spray for photos

Cracking set - particularly like the lightning reflection shot. Must get myself to Brunty next year.

Re: Cold & Wet Jets
#5 and #9 are the winners for me......from a good set of shots all-round. The T7 reflection's a bit special too!
Turned out to be a thoroughly decent day

Re: Cold & Wet Jets
Nice set of photos taken from the event....interesting Hunter reflection shot though, can I ask what time of day it was taken ?

Thanks again all Alas no more photos to add now!
Peter, it was taken right at the end, after pretty much everyone had left. I actually wanted some of the Bucc but the crew were busy putting it to bed. That said the Hunter looks lovely
Re: Cold & Wet Jets
I only ask because there were 2 blokes waiting patiently (on the floor) around 5pm, when I took some photos of the Hunter....

Ah OK. Might have been me, I was indeed waiting patiently on the floor lol - EXIF reads 1745.
The buccaneer had been towed away just before I took this.
Harry.
