Blue Phantom !

Post by leonardm »

Got wind of another deployment of usmc f-18 to Hyakuri last week so made the trip.

The marines didn't disappoint and will post more later but this really made my day

Rich
I believe they are trialling this as a new scheme, not sure if all the RF-4E are going to be painted up like this or not but I know several will be and this is the first (i hope not!) kind of like the F-2 scheme but in reverse to my eye?

Look forward to seeing them in 9 weeks!

Four aircraft are initially to be painted in this scheme according to some of the Japanese spotters on Twitter.
As Ross says it's a trial "maritime" scheme.
