Shuttleworth Season Finale & Nightshoot

Post by hmeasures »

A bit slow on the airshow shots, but quite quick for the nightshoot!

Stunning set of images, thanks for sharing

Number 11 for me is just  and there's something about the last one I really really like too. I think it's the way you have caught the chap walking across the image - deliberate I've no doubt and just waiting that extra few seconds and having him there when most of us would do the opposite and wait 'til he had moved out the way, for me elevates it to another level.

Lovely stuff Harry :win:

Great pictures that's me in the borrowed Castrol overalls priming the Mewgull and Comet, at least I know what I'll look like if I haunt the place when I die. Is it possible for me.to get copies of the pictures please?

Cheers

Steve

Thanks, I always find it a funny aircraft to shoot on the ground, the nose is very high & the cockpit so far back. Glad I've done it justice!

Thank you. I was stood with a friend at the time and joked it'd look good with someone walking in front, and as if on cue Dodge walked past, nailed the 2 second delay, too  It was the last shot I took on the night.

Thanks Steve, those Castrol overalls made it! I've sent you a PM.

Very good. Anymore nightshoot shots? Surely more than three aircraft run up for this?

Yup, indeed there were. Tiger moth was also run up, making 4. Not a bad count, I'd have been happy with three...

There were quite a few cameos set up with the 4 that ran and also two by the hangars.

Have a look at the threads in the 'warbirds' section for what else was there. I put up shots of everything that was out.

Great shots, Old Warden just keeps on getting better.

Anyone know who the pilot of the Seafire is? John Beattie as Benjamin Button?

For the price, I would have expected them to run up the Hind, Demon, Gladiator and Tutor at least. Those 1930s silver bi-planes would have looked magnificent floodlit!

The Hind didn't have an engine in it, I didn't see the Demon there, the Gladiators engine was in bits and the Tutor was arranged for us in the hangar. The weather changed what could be brought outside.

BriLlo - the Seafire pilot is Lt Cdr Chris Gotke, CO of the Royal Navy Historic Flight and all round superpilot.
