I am lead to believe that both the May and September 2016 shows will be ticket in advance, no tickets at the gate. Can anyone confirm this ?

That's correct. Guy in charge of the shows confirmed it on Facebook today.

This was included in an e-mail from Duxford today... blimey, classic jets being allowed back at Duxford?!

Next May, our Air Show will be inspired by the newly-transformed American Air Museum. Historic aeroplanes and contemporary jet aircraft will take to the skies to tell the story of the special relationship America and Britain have shared in times of conflict. Dynamic flying displays combine with living history re-enactments, sounds of the eras and the voices of Americans who lived and worked at RAF Duxford from the First World War up until the Cold War.

My main concern is that in terms of content it could be like a poorer copy of the similarly-themed May 2013 show (sans Eagle Squadron, Sabre, P-40B etc...)

Which was one of the best Duxford shows, of late.

Contemporary would mean modern here, surely?

You would've thought so. Typhoon is usually at the May show. Contemporary US jet aircraft?.... Could be interesting

Never been to a Duxford show, considering the May weekend, I like to get to airshows early,
what time would be required to get in with minimal queues ?
I take it that would give plenty time to see some of the museum before the airshow starts.

Aim to get there before 08:00 then.

The queues should be minimal at that time

thanks for your help !
No reply to email, or on their facebook page, so thought I would ask here with people who seem to have a lot of knowledge before phoning.
Some people are very rude.

Not as rude as some people who failed to mention that they had already tried the museum before hand.

I'm at Duxford today I'll see if any one knows.

If the F22's are in the UK during duxford, do you think there will be a chance of a flypast? Or even demo? Considering we've seen the US support the show very well in past years with the F15 demo & flypasts!

Might get a Heritage flypast at Legends but it wont be part of the display.

Is that a typo, or are F-22's and F-35's due to the UK this year?
Would be nice to see the heritage flight at Flying Legends again.

I've seen no mention of F22's this year just a couple of F-35's coming over for RIAT and Farnborough.
