And two oldies at IAT 1985, Fairford from me.
The Air Tattoo used to attract lots of raspberries in those days. In 1985: Andover, 2 BAC1-11s, Dakota, Varsity, Viscount, 2 Devons, Phantom, Hawk, HS125, 2 Canberras, Scout and Basset.

What a wonderful topic. Thanks especially to chilts and bjcc and C-VIX. All interesting, though, I must admit! Ta!
Re: Raspberry Ripple Review!
A very good idea Rich!
Couple of badly scanned slides from 1990/2, when the UK's premier training base was open, Hawks were grey, Tucanos were red & white and these two were in active service at Boscombe. Happy days.........
Cheers!

Re: Raspberry Ripple Review!
A lovely selection but a couple of strays in there.
Tucano isn't raspberry ripple, but just in the old RAF training scheme of red, white and grey and the Comet isn't ripple either although if anyone can post XV814
From recollection 30 types have been adorned in authentic ripple scheme:
Phantom, Buccaneer, Tornado, Jaguar, Harrier, Hunter, Canberra, Hawk, Meteor, Gnat, Jet Provost, Devon, Basset, Navajo, Jetstream, Dakota, Varsity, Viscount, 748 & Andover, One-Eleven, 125, Comet, Scout, Gazelle, Lynx, Wessex, Puma, Sea King, Mi8 and Twin Pioneer, the last being officially designed by Boscombe after the aircraft left service according to the Classic Flight at Coventry. Not included the Twin Squirrel as its not really in proper ripple (not enough red). If anyone can think of any others please add to the list.
A few to hand

Re: Raspberry Ripple Review!
Some really excellent stuff in this thread! Lee, another for your Wessex shot - beautiful!
Morley, phabulous Phantom! Is it me or does the Phantom look better in R-Rip than anything other type, just seems to suit its lines so well.
